With ts sattelite mounds and the largest collection of pre-historic rock Art in Europe Knowth is the Mother Mound of the Boyne Valley. At its centre is a cruciform chamber containing a highly decorated stone basin depicting the central symbolism of the Sacred Valley. Knowth is also known as Cnocbó, the mound of the Goddess Bó after which the Boyne Valley, the Bru na Boinne is named.
