MOONSTONE
Carved Stone, Knowth
Boyne Valley, County Meath

The Kerb Stone facing south on the perimeter of the great Passage Mound is known as the Moonstone as it appears to be depicting Lunar Symbolism. The ancient name of Knowth is Cnocba, the Hill of the Goddess Bó to whom the Boyne Valley, the Bruig na Boinne, is dedicated.
