Newgrange is the central and most well know of the three great Passage Mounds in the Boyne Valley. Inocorporated into the mounds is the largest concentration of Neolithic carvings in Europe and these mysterious stones are thought to have an astronomical significance. The Boyne Valley is named after the great Goddess Bó or Boand.
